     This webquest was designed for a fifth grade class; it includes history and math skills.  The students must know the basic workings of Microsoft Excel and the Internet.  Working in groups of two, the students learn how to use the Internet to make travel plans.  The students will then put their information into an organized spreadsheet.  As the instructor, you may need to help students with formulas or set-up of the spreadsheet.  Because of current politcal issues, the students must develop an alternate plan in order to visit the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World; students can not simply fly.  Allow students to think creatively for modes of transportation, but you may need to help in this process.  Some examples include walking, boats, cars, camping, camels, etc.  The webquest should take students about 2 weeks, so some class time should be allotted.  Remember to allow time for students to ask any needed questions.
